Some of the datatypes have the phase ‘Show Child’. These occur when the element is a ‘complex’ element – ie it contains a number of ‘child’ elements rather than a single datatype – for example like Condition.stage or Condition.evidence. (Oh, and this is a known bug at the moment – condition.stage has a multiplicity of 0..1, which confuses the app as it expects these to be 0..*)
If you click on one of these, then the navigator will show these child elements in the same format as the main display, and the ‘breadcrumb’ above the navigator will show that you are in a child element rather than the main one (you can click in the breadcrumb to return to the main branch).
If you look in the right pane, you will see 2 buttons – one with the number ‘1’, and the other a ‘+’ symbol. This is how you can create multiple ‘instances’ of the child element – and move between them when you have more than one (it is also why Condition.stage confuses the app – it can only have a single child.) Note that if you create multiple child elements, there is (currently) no way of deleting one.
